Project Tracking

Project Control Capabilities

At Tecsar, we leverage a range of tools to monitor and report on project performance, tailoring the level of reporting to fit the scale and needs of each client. Our approach ensures efficient tracking, reporting, and communication for projects of all sizes, providing the right level of detail and transparency for every engagement.

Project Central
Our in-house, web-based system, Project Central, provides real-time updates across key project areas such as task descriptions, deliverable status, resource allocations, cost & budget updates, timesheets, and more. It’s a versatile tool that adapts to project size, ensuring streamlined communication within our team and with clients, keeping everyone aligned and informed.

Project Tracker
For larger capital projects, Tecsar utilizes Project Tracker, a scalable web-based project management system. This system tracks spent hours, deliverable progress, and earned value by discipline and work area. Paired with Primavera, it generates S-curves to assess project performance against the baseline, offering clients clear visibility and accurate forecasts—no matter the project size.

Primavera P6
For comprehensive project scheduling, we use Primavera P6, allowing us to create resource-loaded schedules that align with client needs. Whether managing an individual project or a portfolio of projects, Primavera enables precise tracking of resource allocation, schedule deviations, and overall progress.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Our KPI system provides an objective measure of project performance, with scores ranging from 0 to 10. Tecsar consistently delivers high performance, with scores improving from 8.3 in the early 2000s to 8.9 in the 2020s. We tailor these KPIs to meet client-specific goals, ensuring that performance metrics align with what matters most to each project.

Task Sheets
Task Sheets serve as a simple yet effective tool for tracking productivity. Tailored by discipline leads, these sheets monitor anticipated hours and ensure clarity around project expectations, allowing both discipline and project leads to understand the “spent to date” versus “earned value.”

Engineering Effectiveness
Tecsar's Engineering Effectiveness program focuses on capturing and communicating cost savings achieved through innovative engineering solutions. This process encourages continuous improvement, ensuring that we deliver cost-efficient, non-capital solutions to our clients, tailored to their specific needs.
